Good afternoon, all,
It has been a while since I have blogged and I am going to try hard to blog each day just to keep a record of events during this strange time in our lives.
This is the first week of school from our homes. We have set up a variety of resources in order for our students to keep practicing the skills that they have worked hard all year to learn. Today was the first day I made video contact with some of these students. I enjoyed being able to have personable chats in small groups which seems not to happen in the school setting. In the school setting there is such a demand to learn so many standards that we do not have enough time to enjoy each other's companies and learn of some talents unless in passing in the halls :-(
On the home front for me, I am busy creating reading units and audio recording chapters that there still has not been "down" time as some non-educators may feel may be happening by teachers. We are reaching out to students, sharing sources, and collaborating with other teachers.
It has been an interesting time in our lives to go all online for sharing resources, activities and supporting families and students as best as we can. There are many students that I worry about, whether it is or food security or just the sheer consistency of a schedule which happens at school.
For now, I wish all my readers safety of their families and their health. If you need anything, please contact me! I will do as much as possible.
